This is one of those dishes that everyone likes.
I'm also a big fan of pizza, but those with a crispy crust, homemade, with the best quality ingredients.
This recipe is one of the best I've ever made. You can choose to make the pasta and tomato sauce or buy them at the supermarket, but the truth is that they are quite simple to make.
Pasta:
Unleavened flour - 250g
Water - 100ml
Olive oil - 40ml
Salt - Half teaspoon
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead until a consistent ball forms. Add some extra flour so your hands don't itch.
Let it rest for at least 15 minutes.
Tomato sauce
Ripe medium tomatoes - 4
Garlic - 1 clove
Oregano - 1 teaspoon
Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Salt - a pinch
Pass the peeled tomatoes with the magic hand blender. Lightly heat the chopped garlic in olive oil and then add the tomatoes and oregano. Let it cook until it thickens.
Pizza topping
Tomato Sauce
Mozzarella or other cheese, as long as it is grated - 200g
Onion - 1/2 onion cutted into strips
Red or green peppers - 1/2 pepper cutted into strips
Pitted Olives - up to you
Arugula - up to you
Olive oil
Extra ingredients that are also good: spicy chorizo, mushrooms, egg, sheep's cheese, dehydrated tomato.
With a rolling pin or your hands, roll out the pizza dough.
Spread the sauce.
Sprinkle with the grated cheese.
Add the onion strips, then the pepper strips and finally the pitted olives.
Bake in the oven at 200C for about 20 minutes. The arugula, the oil, and eventually the egg, must be added 1 min before removing from the oven.
Enjoy!!
