Our grove nestles in the immense valleys and hills of Trás-os-Montes, a region famous for its quality agricultural produce. Traditional agricultural methods are still followed on the many small family owned farms in the region, and the shale soil, as well as our unique climate, is famed for growing fine wine, olive oil and sweet almonds.

Around half of our olive trees are over one hundred years old first being registered in 1903 and some are much older than that, being on the land when it was first purchased by my Grandfather. The other half of the grove was planted 40 years ago and in the long life of an olive tree are still in their infancy.  Today, we are regularly adding and replacing trees in the evolution of our grove.

We grow a variety of native olive species which when blended together infuse to give our olive oil its unique flavor and character.
